I'm in too!
I propose we set specific start and end times so that nobody gets burnt out. Though this means that everyone should come prepared. Character updated, experience calculated etc.
So this will probably mean that the GM for the current campaign will have to post a summary after every session. Including XP gained, what happened in the story, what each character is doing etc.
Let me know what everyone thinks about that.

I think picking a solid start time is a good idea.
Posting a summary is an interesting idea. Having the XP online would definitely make things easier. And it would put some more use to the board assuming the GM is consistent with it.

I suggest we keep the group to a max of 5 to make scheduling easier.

Yea playing D&D would be pretty sweet. I've never actually done it really so I hope I'm not too n00bie. I have played D&D video games though so I am aware of how the rules work which is cool.

Welcome everyone,
Since nobody else has commented on Matt's suggestion I will assume everyone is okay with a specific start and end time. How about 1:30-5:30 on Sundays?
I can GM first if you want to go second Matt?
Otherwise we just need to pick a day to start on and decide on weekly or by-weekly.
Please post your preferences.

I can definitely do a second campaign Marc.
1:30 to 5:30 on Sundays will work for me but I'll let it be known that there may be one or two soccer games that cause me to miss a session. We usually play in the mornings or in the evenings so this shouldn't happen but just in case. Otherwise I'm only free on Thurs. or Fri evenings and could probably swing some time on Saturday afternoon.
Marc do you have a copy of the Modern sourcebooks? If not I'll have to find a torrent again... I didn't complete the other download.

Ya that time on sunday is cool. I'm not sure if we wanted to do this weekly or biweekly. personally I would preffer biweekly but can go on whatever the group decides on or whatever is needed to play the campaign in a reasonable amount of time.

How does February 25th work for our start day?

Thanks for the files Marc! I think most of them should be downloaded by now.
Feb 25 will work for me, though it is my brothers birthday and we'll be having some people over at my place. Would it be possible to start a bit early? If not, I may just leave a half hour or so early depending on when dinner is supposed to be on that Sunday. Just a heads up!
Will our first session just be setting up characters, introducing the campaign etc?
I was thinking about the bi-weekly or weekly choices and had a brainstorm. Maybe we should do two weeks in a row then a week break and so on? That way people don't get burnt out but at the same time we can progress a little faster than bi-weekly.

I don't have a problem with starting at 1pm on the 25th.
Thanks for the suggestion Matt. It would seem everybody is still somewhat unsure. We know how every week went as we have done it but we havn't tried bi-weekly. I'll put my vote done for bi-weekly in order to give it a try.
Cheers, marc

In regards to the first session I am hoping everyone will be able to build their characters and be ready to go before then. I plan on posting the intro on the message board before then so everyone knows what is going on.
Please make 1st level characters with the core MODERN rules. Occupation should be military. Do not take any military items though. Otherwise you have complete freedom and if anyone has questions they can post them or give me a call etc.
cheers, marc
